Who We Are NMF attracts mothers with a vast array of backgrounds. Our members include lawyers, midwives, artists, teachers, stay-at -home moms, mothers who work outside the home, nurses, ad executives, massage therapists, speech pathologists, chiropractors, accountants, social activists, etc. A few of our mothers making a motherhood quilt for a friend in 2005 Mothers are our Members NMF welcomes all women: mothers, grandmothers, and mothers-to-be. Although there are no monthly dues, members often contribute what they can to defray the costs of postage and paper, etc. (we call this "passing the hat.") Members are also encouraged to participate on at least one committee and attend at least one meeting per year to be on our mailing list. While our meetings are reserved for women-only, occasionally fathers, brothers and male friends are invited to attend special meetings that may be of interest to them. Nursing children and infants are always welcome.
